Are you considering pilot training?
The introductory flight will demonstrate that with proper training, flying is comfortable, safe, and not that hard. We will take to the sky in the Beechcraft Musketeer and the prospective student will get their first experience at controlling the aircraft. Aviation is expensive and there is no better way to help you decide if you want to pursue this. This introductory lesson will begin with how we dispatch the plane and preflight the aircraft. You can expect about 1.2 hours of flight time from taxi, takeoff to landing. After we secure the aircraft we will debrief the experience and talk about the next steps. In all you should plan for about 2.5 to 3.0 hours of time.
We’re also glad to train you in your airplane! If your airplane is not home-based at Fremont County Airport, we’re glad to discuss an arrangement that meets your needs. We do reserve the right to bill for instructor travel time and mileage within reason, but we'll discuss this with you up front.
Requirements for customer supplied aircraft.
Risk mitigation is our priority, so we ask that customers bringing their own airplanes maintain the following maintenance standards by providing documentation of the following:
-Your most recent annual inspection;
-Your most recent 91.413 transponder inspection if the airplane is equipped with one;
-Your most recent 91.411 altimeter inspection if the airplane is certified for IFR (our policy bases this on what the airplane is certified to do, not what the proposed training mission is);
-Your most recent Airworthiness Directive compliance report.
